We are experts at implementing biological treatments for potabilization whenever possible. Biological treatments use particular families of nonpathogenic microorganisms in the abatement of methane, ammonia, iron, and manganese in the water, using oxygen instead of chlorine or other chemical oxidizing reagents. The traditional treatment uses chlorine-based oxidizers, followed by sand filtration. This process, however, can lead to the formation of carcinogenic chlorine derivatives. In order to separate these substances, costly activated carbon filtering systems must be applied. Biological potabilization, on the other hand, does not produce any undesired substances and is a much simpler treatment. We have provided this water treatment solution to hundreds to our customers
Potabilization With Arsenic Removal
TWA is also a leader in the use of resin processes for the removal of specific pollutants, including arsenic, boron, chlorides, and metals.
New arsenic limits in drinking water are set to 10 μg/l. Much of the well water in the world has arsenic concentrations well above this limit, and therefore must be treated. TWA proposes an innovative selective resin process, which, unlike the methods proposed by our competitors, has the advantage of being regenerable. This results in very high abatement performance and much lower operating cost than traditional arsenic removal methods.

TWA has more than 15 years of experience in developing solutions to produce highly dependable, fit-for-purpose industrial water. These include resin demineralization solutions for industrial applications. TWA has acquired great expertise and experience in the construction of highly dependable demineralization plants, which are designed to operate for 24 hours a day, 365 days a year, without unscheduled stops.
